He likes apples

His new favorite food is apples! He loves them! He is sitting up like a champ, standing and trying so hard to crawl. He loves playing and making new noises! He's wearing 9 month clothes and some are tight, he's growing fast.

I love watching him grow and learn new things. He is such a sweet curious little boy!

Learning to stand

Carter loves standing! We practice a lot along with trying to crawl.
We had a great weekend, we always love having Daddy home with us.
Carter has his 9 month doctors appointment on Wednesday. I'm excited to see where he is at on the charts and to so get all my questions answered.
He is still learning to sleep all through the night in his crib. He did great tonight except the 2 times he woke up crying. He seemed panicked and scared. Ugh!
We will keep working at it, that's all we can do.

Happy Valentine's Day

Carter got his RSV shot yesterday and didn't nap well BUT slept through the night! Yay!! I think it's coincidence but we will take what we can get.

He's enjoying a nap right now. He just got his nails filed, holy moly they were long and sharp. I have to file them twice a week they grow so fast!!

We are going to make daddy a valentines present when he wakes up, shhhh... We will do foot prints in the shape of hearts. Something small for the best Dad in the world! We will post pictures when we are done.

Eye exam day

I am SO happy to report that Carter's eye exam came back normal today! After multiple invasive eye exams in the NICU, today's was a breeze! Dr. Cohen was happy with his progress. He will have to go back once a year until school starts.

I am just as happy to report that Elly had her eye exam this morning too and got the same results!!!!

These two amaze me everyday! They've been through so much, and have come so far.

Carter & Elly back together again

After 7 months, Carter and Elly got to see one another again!!
They spent 76 LONG days in the NICU together.
Carter was born May 1st at 26 weeks 4 days and Elly was born May 3rd at 29 weeks and 4 days.
Their stories are different and each had their own struggles. It is just amazing to see how far they've come. MIRACLES OF GOD!!!!
We are so blessed to have them in our lives and look forward to many more visits!

Weigh In

Carter weighed in today at 16lbs 7.5oz! He's so amazing!

Sleeping in his crib.

He is officially sleeping in his crib at nap times and at night (not all night, but pretty close)! He is doing great! Wakes up and puts himself back to sleep with very little help. He loves to sleep on his belly!!! He is growing up so fast!

Nicks parents are coming in tomorrow and we couldn't be more excited!

We have some very special visitors coming over on Sunday!!!
Elly and her parents will be in town and are coming over for a visit. We haven't seen them in person since we all left the NICU.
