Walking with his push toy

Sorry it's been so long...
Let's see, we celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary on Wednesday and we celebrated Carter's homecoming yesterday. Can you believe he's been home for a year????
He's eating sliced turkey, scrambled eggs, strawberries, watermelon, cheese, he even had some if our ribs... We figured out the texture issue. If its a mixture of purée and chunky, he spits it out.. If it's one or the other he eats it just fine, well he's still learning with solids. His therapist is impressed, our only homework is to work on going down the stairs.

July 4th

We enjoyed a 5 day vacation in steamboat... Carter had a couple firsts while we were there!!!
He ate his first french fry, he went swimming in a 'regular' pool, saw his first moose, sat on his first horse, went to his first rodeo.... Carter and I went on an early morning walk yesterday since we were the only ones up. Later in the morning the neighbor said there was a bear where carter and I had walked in the morning. We were fortunate enough to NOT see the bear!!!!!! (Scary to know he was near when we were out)
We went with my best friend and their three kids. We had a blast!!!!!

14 months

My goodness, where does the time go?!?

Nick and I were talking the other night. Carter's birthday seems so long ago, and to think a year ago he was still fighting this whole time, and was still in the NICU. He is simply amazing!!!

He fed himself some peas last night and did great!! Hopefully we are moving past the texture issue. Slowly, but surely!

He's becoming more vocal, it's so funny!!  His favorite word continues to be dada. He drools a lot, giggles a lot, and crawls REALLY fast. He is starting to try to stand up from a sitting position. He's still unstable but I don't think walking is too far away.

We enjoyed celebrating Carter's best friends 1st birthday this weekend!

We continue to pray for his cousin Braedyn. He's been getting sick because of the chemo. It's hard watching my family go through this. He is a fighter, just like Carter so we know he'll be ok. We ask for continued prayers for him.
