He's been really happy and smiley lately. No real news. We will write more this weekend just wanted to share pictures.

Busy Busy Busy

Sorry we haven't written we have been so busy.
Really we have no news, so I guess that's good. He still has a little fluid under his scalp. It will be gone soon.
He's been smiling a lot and cooing. It is so much fun watching him grow.

I got on the scale with him this morning and it said he weighed a little over 10 pounds! Can you believe it?

We are taking Carter to the NICU on Sunday to see his favorite nurse Brigid. She cried when he left and when she was on vacation in early July when he was sick, she called every day to check on him. It should be a happy reunion, we will take pictures!

We had a big mess to clean up tonight! Carter got sick all over his clean Jammie's, me and the floor. We document everything so enjoy the picture :)

Relaxing day

Today was relaxing for us. We did laundry, cleaned, and watched Nick do the yard. He was up a majority of the day, hopefully that means we will all get a lot of sleep tonight.
We walked out to grab the mail and found a surprise! Elly, his girlfriend, sent him a football hat. Elly's mom Alexis is so talented! Thank you for making him a hat!!! Elly is as cute as ever, I will attach pictures!!
The fluid under his scalp is just about gone, I'm thinking by Tuesday at the latest.

Family Day

Carter was up every two hours last night eating! Needless to say, I'm exhausted today!
Carter was a smiley guy all day! We went up and took pictures of the leaves. It's a lot different when you have a little one. We enjoyed a hike and sat at the top overlooking the aspen for about 15 minutes. It was relaxing!
Finally the fluid under his scalp is ALMOST gone!!! He's had it since before Father's Day!
I am attaching a picture I found today on Nicks phone. It was the first time I asked to see his face. It reminds me just how blessed we really are. He's come so far!

Development appointment today at 4

Carter has his developmental evaluation today at 4. Nick and I both think he's right where he should be. He's moving around a lot, kicking, grabbing, and making noises. I will update when the appointment is over, but for now here are some pictures!

The appointment went great! Carter is on schedule and even a little ahead in some areas! We couldn't be happier! He will be seen once a month by a physical therapist until March. They will teach us ways to help him along. They will watch him closely to ensure he stays on track. We will reevaluate his plan in six months..

The smiles just keep coming. He had a great day with Noelle. Monday's are the worst for me. It's so hard to leave him.

Carter has his developmental evaluation on Wednesday. It will tell us if he's on schedule with his corrected age (1 1/2 months).

Carter had his 1st official outing today!

We had a reception today up in Morrison. The scenery was beautiful and the weather was great. Carter had a great time, he enjoyed his bottle and the outdoors. We were only out for 2 hours but I think we all enjoyed it.
