Great progress

Today, Carter got his top popped on his incubator thus putting him in a crib! He has been without oxygen aid for a while and was doing great while we were there tonight.

Probably the biggest news is that he had his first bottle-feed today. Normally preemies aren't fully ready at this stage so we were prepared for some disinterest, choking and spit ups. Turns out he loved it! He completed a full feed, no choking or spit ups! Afterwards mommy burped him and he had a couple man-burps too. The nurse said it was the best first-bottle-feed that she had seen in her career.

His head issue remains the same. His doctor examined it thoroughly today and said that it is weird but that she believes that over time, his body will reabsorb it. We are just concerned because no one knows what it is and they've never seen it before. we do take comfort in the level of concern for it however. We checked prior pictures and upon close examination, we can identify it all the way back to right after fathers day. We have been told that it may get worse before it gets better but they remain confident that it will resolve itself.

Carter and both of us want to thank everyone for the outpouring of prayers and concern throughout his first couple of months. He needs them now more than ever. We love him very much.
